Welcome to the Video Movie Site
A film, also called an image or movie of the motion is passed with a history of moving pictures. It is produced by recording images with photographic cameras, or by creating images using animation techniques or visual effects. The process of filmmaking has developed an art form and industry.
Films are cultural artifacts created by specific cultures, which reflect the cultures and, in turn, affect them. The film is considered a major art form, a source of popular entertainment and a powerful method for education – or indoctrinating – citizens. The visual elements of cinema give motion pictures a universal power of communication. Some movies have become popular worldwide sites using dubbing or subtitles that translate the dialogue.
The films consist of a series of individual images called frames. When these images are shown rapidly in succession, a viewer al’illusion that movement occurs. The viewer can not see the flickering between frames due to an effect known as persistence of vision, whereby the eye retains a visual image for a split second after the source has been removed. Viewers perceive motion due to a psychological effect called beta movement.
The origin of the name “film” comes from the fact that photographic film (also called the film) has always been the main means for recording and viewing movies. Many other terms exist for an individual motion picture, including photos, see photos, moving pictures, photo-play and movie. A common name for the cinema in the United States is the film, while in Europe, cinema or film term is preferred. Additional terms for the field in general, including the big screen, the silver screen, film and movies.
